THE ALPHABET

This pedagogical alphabet is unique in Europe. It has allowed children with severe disabilities to learn to write. It is very natural for the child who manipulates the letters since kinder garden and allows him to integrates effortlessly letters shape by following their movement.. The shape of the letters are the one displayed in the Toutaki™ sotware. Sensory-motor handling facilitates the children learning the alphabet’s letters, it improves the way their will memorise and appropriate it. Optional bag of self-adhesive magnets gives the possibility to expand the use of this alphabet, by fixing the letters on steel surface.

THE SLATE

The letters are grouped by families. Each family is determined by the key movement to write these letters. A specific colour identifies each family. Indeed, the child that is facing problems always stumble on the movement so gathering the letters by movement was very natural. Interlining ® facilitates the location in space of the alphabet ‘s letters and encourages the integration of their proper proportions. This interlining is used in the Toutaki™ software as well

That day, we discover the Tablet PCs with students in attendance. In front of this tool, the reaction is incredible. Some small programs are then presented and used in particular around the drawing, writing (including software Toutaki©) and mathematics. Students want more! .. Students' computer progress is remarkable .. Finally, Grapholignes® alphabet developed by the graphotherapist, Marie-Christine Foy, is made available for the teacher for specific activities that complement the work done with the software Toutaki©.

Alexis, 12, has benefited from the help of Ms. Foy. He was always very pleased with those meeting and even more when he discovered Toutaki©. Thanks to this software, Alexis discovers the joy of learning to draw beautiful letters, then words. This software is really attractive because while being very entertaining for the child, the route and method applied are very stringent. Combined with the use of the Graphilignes alphabet, a practice on the tablet PC is still helping Alexis to progress without being tired of exercises.
